In accordance with guidelines set by the Government of Alberta, here is what you can expect when you come into the library.

Hours of Operation:

Monday  11:00AM - 5:00PM
Tuesday 11:00AM - 5:00PM
Wednesday 11:00AM - 8:00PM
Thursday 11:00AM - 5:00PM
Friday 11:00AM - 5:00PM

The library will be closed on all weekends and statutory holidays.

Inside the Library:

The Calmar Public Library is not participating in the Restrictions Exemption Program. This means you are not required to provide proof of vaccination to borrow materials or access library services. However, other measures must be followed:

  • Masks are mandatory while inside the library
  • Social distancing (2 metres) must be observed
  • Patrons are only able to enter the library with members of their household; persons living alone are allowed to enter with 1 member of their cohort
  • There is a maximum of 8 people (including staff) inside the library at one time; if this capacity is reached, you may be required to wait outside

If patrons are not following these mandatory measures, they will be asked to leave the library.

We request that any items you touch but do not wish to borrow are placed in one of the baskets located throughout the library. Staff will sanitize these items before they are placed back on the shelves.

Using the Computers:

We are still limited to TWO available computers for public use. For more information regarding the computer services we offer, please click HERE.
