Welcome back! The Calmar Public Library is excited to announce we are able to reopen our doors to the public beginning on March 9, 2021. In accordance with guidelines set by the Government of Alberta, here is what you can expect when you come into the library.

Hours of Operation:

Monday  CURBSIDE ONLY
Tuesday 10:00AM - 5:00PM
Wednesday 10:00AM - 8:00PM
Thursday 10:00AM - 5:00PM
Friday CURBSIDE ONLY

The library will be closed on all weekends and statutory holidays.

While we are closed to the public on Monday and Friday, staff will still be working and you will be able to borrow items on these days using curbside pick-up. More information about how this service functions, including hours, can be found HERE.

Inside the Library:

Please be advised that masks are mandatory in all indoor spaces. You will not be permitted to enter the library without a mask. If you forget your mask, we have disposable ones available for patron use. You will also be required to use the hand sanitizer at the front door prior to entering.

At the moment, our capacity is limited to 15% occupancy (staff excluded). This means that there is a maximum of FIVE patrons inside the library at one time. There may be times when you come to the library that you will have wait before being allowed to enter the library, and we thank you in advance for understanding.

We request that any items you touch but do not wish to borrow are placed in one of the baskets located throughout the library. Staff will sanitize these items before they are placed back on the shelves.

Using the Computers:

We are still limited to TWO available computers for public use. These computers are available by reservation only, and use will be limited to 30 minutes per patron, per day. For more information regarding the computer services we offer, please click HERE.
