Borrowing Items

All Calmar Public Library items have a loan period of 21 days (three weeks).

You can borrow the following number of items at one time:

• 50 books
• 6 DVDs

You may renew an item twice, unless someone has requested it. Items can be renewed in person, via email, over the phone, or through your online TRACpac account. Items borrowed from other TRAC libraries may have different loan periods. We have an outdoor drop-box for returning items, which is accessible to patrons even when the library closed.

Requesting Items

The Calmar Public Library is part of Alberta's largest geographical library system. If an item is out or not available here, chances are good that another TRAC library will have it! You are able to request items, and have another library send their copy to Calmar for you to borrow. Requests can be done online, over the phone, or in person.

When an item arrives our automated system will notify you via your preferred method (phone, text, or email). Your items will be held at the Calmar Public Library for 21 days.
